Company History

In the 1960s PyroSol, Inc. began R&D on high tempurature gasification which resulted in the construction of the original 50 ton per day gasifier pilot plant in 1971, named the X-50.  Located in Redwood City, CA the pilot plant was operated as a continued waste to energy research facility until the death of James Welty, PyroSol's owner and visionary leader.   Upon Jim's passing, PyroSol was sold to PyroWaste, Inc. and later to Nova Energy Corp. for continued development of the technology.  As a part of the continued research, a 75 ton per day gasifier, named the X-75, was developed as the base module size for commercial scale application and represents the core of the PES knowledge and experience base today.  

In 2004, Pure Energy Systems, Inc. ("PES") was formed to establish a market presence for commercial applications using the extremely reliable high tempurature gasification process developed over the past three decades.  Also in 2004 and 2005, GE Energy completed a compatibility and efficiency study of  the PES synthesis fuel gas and offers performance guarantees for megawatt output and emissions helping to validate the PES process as one of the safest and most economically attractive waste-to-energy systems available today.

Principal Business

The principle business of Pure Energy Systems Inc. ("PES"), a Nevada Corporation, is to design, build, own and/or operate gasification plants throughout the world and to act as a technology provider for our partners seeking to provide waste-to-energy facilities outside of our active markets.

All plants use Nova Energy Corporation’s (NEC) advanced high temperature pyrogenic gasification technology. PES has exclusive rights to the gasification technology, the patents with additional patents pending, owned by Nova Energy Corporation.  In addition, PES has made many individual and proprietary process improvements that have been discovered and accrued over the years making PES technology one of the safest, most reliable and most economically attractive waste-to-energy systems available today.
